In the world of anime and just about any other story, it’s common to have a protagonist and an antagonist. As the viewer, we’re to follow the protagonist throughout their journey in hopes of a well-deserved victory. Now it’s normal for us to feel angry at the antagonist as many of these characters, especially in anime, are masterfully crafted to get on our nerves. 6fn1p
These characters do anything and everything just to get the upper hand. These characters are the definition of hatred. However, many viewers nowadays are flexible regarding their views of anime. While some actively root for the hero, others actually rally behind the antagonist.
The reasons why some go for the villain are many: A hero may not fit well with their standards, the hero has done something evil and is wholly disregarded, absurd plot armor, and so much more. With that said, this list will feature both protagonists and antagonists who deserve a fitting and satisfying defeat.
So why do many people hate Tucker? Well, he experimented on his wife and daughter and made them into mindless chimeras in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Combined with masterful storytelling, viewers were horrified as his transmuted daughter still showed love for him despite being turned into a hybrid dog.
Without remorse, he was happy due to the success he perceived from the horrible experiment. Although Scar killed him, many believe that Shou Tucker deserved a more terrible fate than death.
Cool armor, mysterious powers, and a sadistic purpose are the best ingredients to make a genuinely terrifying villain. Bondrewd from Made in Abyss has all those and more. Being a white whistle, Bondrewd is one of the few characters in the anime who can traverse freely in the Abyss. Due to this ability, he conducts experiments that test the limits of the Abyss.
Although that may sound harmless and, to some extent, noble, Bondrewd lures children in his sick experiments. Many of his experiments end up in failure, with many children dying. Two of his subjects make it out: Nanachi and Mitty. Nanachi is deformed and looks like a rabbit, while Mitty is transformed into a semi-mindless goop with eyes, hair, teeth, and claws.
Bondrewd does many more things that can just crush your heart as you go on watching. So if you haven’t watched Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, then we suggest you watch it to see just how evil and deserving Bondrewd is of a good beating.
Many scoff at Dio Brando’s evil actions throughout his appearances in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. But because he’s too strong, he annoyingly gets away with almost everything he does. Some even consider that this hated villain’s plot armor is equal to the JoJo tasked to beat him. For this reason, Dio Brando truly needs a beating for all of eternity.
Known as the God of Destruction, Beerus doesn’t come off as a strong character. However, as many anime fans made the same mistake as Vegeta, Beerus whooped the entire lineup that Universe 7 had to offer.
Even Goku, combined with the might of the Saiyans, wasn’t enough to beat Beerus. Goku even became a Saiyan god, but still, he stood no chance against this purple Cornish Rex cat. In the manga, it’s implied that he was beaten in an arm wrestling match. Many are looking forward to seeing Beerus hurt a bit. Even a tiny sign of pain from a punch or energy ball is a significant defeat for Beerus that everyone would look forward to.
Although Baki Hanma is a protagonist, we won’t cut him slack because of it. As the son of the ogre, Yujiro Hanma, Baki is as strong as it gets. However, in a match against Biscuit Oliva, Baki Hanma’s plot armor saved him from that match.
Many fans were impressed with Mr. Oliva’s scary strength as he is one of the few, if not the only person who made it out with a confrontation against Yujuro Hanma. To have beaten him via headbutt, Baki invalidates Oliva’s strength. As the protagonist, Baki has plot armor, and that would have been enough to save him had he been defeated by Oliva.
As the top-class A hero, Amai Mask is introduced to viewers with a mysterious aura behind him. He even proclaims that he doesn’t move up to class S to prevent weaker class A heroes from proceeding. As with many impudent heroes in One Punch Man, Amai Mask thinks he’s the strongest and belittles anyone he thinks is below him.
Amai Mask also acts like a spoiled celebrity, making him an annoying character for many viewers. Thankfully, he gets his comeuppance in the manga. Viewers will have to wait for the anime. If you don’t want to read the manga, then you’ll have to be content with guessing how Amai Mask gets rightfully served.
Nowadays, Orochimaru enjoys retirement, hanging back, and being proud of being a papa. In the past, however, his obsessive desire to get Sasuke and his evil plans drew the full ire of the Naruto fans.
Ever so cunning and seemingly unbeatable, Orochimaru hid away from the spotlight as countless powerful villains like the Akatsuki took center stage in Naruto Shippuden. Even though some say he’s reformed, Orochimaru deserves a good beating for all the death and pain he’s caused in the world.
Aside from his shrill, annoying voice, Frieza is an evil villain in the Dragon Ball Z series that seemingly met his demise. Or so we thought. Death is a mere state in the world of this anime. Although we got a satisfying view of how Frieza got sliced in half by trunks and got blown to bits by Goku, he got a pardon from an angel and is now back.
Evil and ambitious, he won’t hesitate to sacrifice his minions just to meet his goal. He’ll destroy worlds and laugh about it while you watch. Since he’s been revived and doing like the old ways, we still have to look forward to how Goku and the other protagonists deal with him.

With murder and sacrificing his friends, Griffith becomes Femto, an otherworldly being similar to a god. And yes, the story ends there. We’re sure that many people want to dish out vengeance on Griffith or Femto for that “thing” he did to Guts and Casca.
Unlike the other characters mentioned here, Rustal Elion actually worked hard to attain his goals. In Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Rustal Elion plays the long game and sets up everyone as if they were moving pieces for his grand scheme.
Ultimately though, he wipes out a faction and becomes supreme ruler of Gjallarhorn. He is one of the few characters in the Gundam franchise and, perhaps of all anime, to have secured a decisive victory over the protagonists. As an observer, many would want a savory defeat for Elion and his schemes.
The characters mentioned here are both good and evil and everything in between. Whatever they are in their series, these anime characters fittingly deserve to be defeated.
